Coordinator of Graphic Design :: University of Illinois, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement

The University of Illinois seeks a full-time Coordinator of Graphic Design for the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement. This position will provide execution and support related to the creative implementation of the goals of Advancement at Illinois.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement is charged with building relationships with our constituents and generating diverse resources that facilitate Illinois’ academic, research, economic and public services excellence. Advancement brings together professionals in marketing, communications, alumni relations, and development to lead these efforts across the Urbana-Champaign campus.

This position reports to the Art Director, and will also work closely with the Storytelling Director and Marketing team to produce visual and artistic content that drives engagement among our vast audience of alumni, donors, and friends. The Coordinator of Graphic Design will execute design projects for the campus advancement office, work with design professionals, and partner with internal/external teams on design solutions.


• Develop innovative concepts that help enhance the strategic messaging related to advancement initiatives on campus.
• Produce collateral in support of advancement fundraising campaigns, including, but not limited to: brochures, signage, post cards, invitations (both print and digital), web site graphics and landing pages, multi-page proposals and reports, and social media advertising.
• Design engaging e-mails that connect with a wide range of audiences, utilizing animation when appropriate, to support storytelling and marketing efforts.
• Craft dynamic and visually-rich storytelling experiences (both online and print) through the use of creative photography, video, and design.
Stay current on graphic design/trends/industry assessing and communicating their potential impact to our team.
