<p>We’ve got a spot for a Creative Group Manager who loves to do the hands-on work but can also drive a team to greatness. We’re looking for a creative leader who lives for great ideas, has expertise across traditional and new mediums, and who thinks that ground-breaking, results-driven design is, well, the only design there is.</p>

You’ll be leading a team of talented designers and copywriters in pursuit of best-in-class creative. <p><strong>Qualifications/Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS/BA or BFA in a Graphic Design or other relevant field preferred.</li>
<li>Five years of creative experience– 3+ in a leadership role– in an agency or design studio setting.</li>
<li>Demonstrated conceptual/creative ability and understanding of the visual, content and copy needs of branded marketing.</li>
<li>Broad understanding of traditional and digital media, package design, collateral/catalog design, web and interactive design, social media and mobile.</li>
<li>Must have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and excellent communications skills.</li>
<li>Experience leading strategic brainstorming sessions, campaign development, creative brief development and directing creative execution.</li>
<li>Leadership and mentoring abilities that drive excellence among team members.</li>

<p>Twelve month, 100% Academic Professional Appointment</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:<br />
Design, code, and maintain web and multimedia pieces for the department. Design, code, produce, and maintain websites, graphics, and ads for FightingIllini.com and various microsites. Operate FlipCams and post videos on Fightingillini.com. Run audio for press conferences. Assist with print design projects as needed. Some duties may be performed during evening and weekend hours.</p>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong>:<br />
Bachelor&#8217;s degree required, master&#8217;s degree preferred. Two to four years in a design firm or comparable experience in an athletics-based design environment. Minimum three years experience working in CSS-standards-based HTML programming. Demonstrate the ability to meet short deadlines, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. Strong CSS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript knowledge. SitePoint knowledge a plus. Print design experience a plus. Knowledge and proficiency of all Adobe Design applications. Proficient in audio/video applications. Knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA Big Ten Conference and institutional rules that relate to the position is required.</p>
<p><strong>SALARY</strong>: Commensurate with qualifications.</p>

<p>Horizon Hobby has a full time opening for a Sr. Graphic Designer. The position is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies. Creation of design solutions, from concept to completion, in a wide range of graphic applications including: collateral materials, environmental graphics, catalog publications, brand identity, packaging, video titling and multimedia interfaces and tools.</p>
<p>The Senior Designer plays a lead role on any given project and may also assist the Creative Group Manager by leading the work of one or more junior designers to create concepts, comps, layouts and final art. He/she presents visual solutions to internal clients and helps communicate strategies behind design ideas and executions. He/she also assists the Project Analysts to help keep projects on track.</p>
<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3-5 years working experience as either a Lead Graphic Designer or Senior Designer. Alternate career experience will be considered upon evaluation of portfolio.</li>
<li>BA degree in graphic design preferred. A minimum of an Associates Degree in design or related field may be considered.</li>
<li>Must be highly proficient with current versions of Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with a wide range of other design, web and multimedia software and applications.</li>
