THE EVENING’S LINEUP
Our rockin’ emcee for the night is PKN C-U alum Andy Warfel. Champaign-Urbana’s third PechaKucha Night will feature presenters:
- Chris Berti :: Associate Professor of Art & Design at Parkland College.
- Andy Borbely :: Manager of Seven Saints in Downtown Champaign and whiskey connoisseur extraordinaire.
- The Bike Project :: The Bike Project co-op offers a space, tools, and community to repair bikes, share knowledge, hold classes, and advocate for bikes in Urbana-Champaign.
- Kevin Coulton :: On pixel art as a modern form of design analogous to mosaics of old.
- Glen C. Davies :: Local Midwestern muralist and the 2010 Boneyard Arts Festival featured artist.
- Peter Exley / Thorston Bösch :: Our fellow PK Chicago organizers are joining the party!
- Fishing with Dynamite :: The premiere sketch comedy troupe at the University of Illinois.
- Matt Gornick :: Matt designs software to provide realtime information to OrangeQC’s users and favors usability over complexity.
- Stewart Hicks :: On the back and forth conversation between media and space that underpins what I do as a designer.
- Paul Kotheimer :: U. S. songwriter, activist, recording artist, and performer of DiY/acoustic, indie rock, and political folk music.
- Daniel Schreiber :: An (aspiring) chocolate maker. He’s always happy to talk about chocolate, taste chocolate, or think about chocolate.
- Ping Wu :: Project Runway Season 7 alum, designer, physical therapist and former Urbana, IL resident.
