CUDO has teamed up with do good Consulting to bring you project: non-profit makeover. The event takes the form of a charette*, an intense yet hugely satisfying one-day design-a-thon. In only one day, we’ll create a new logo, website, business cards, and letterhead for one local non-profit organization to get them on their feet and help raise much-needed funds.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s non-profit is the Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation (CCFBF). Founded in 1985, the CCFBF has awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships to students pursuing careers related to agriculture. In doing so, they have quietly impacted nearly everyone who in this country who eats. The Foundation is supporting our future, ensuring a crop of leaders in the agriculture industry who are skilled, ready, and adept at meeting our nation’s food challenges.

Event details:
Saturday, July 10
, 9:00am – 6:00pm
at Surface 51
309 South Neil St, Champaign IL
Breakfast & lunch provided

We are looking for a team of designers and web programmers to donate one day of their time, skill, and energy towards this very worthy cause. We’ll provide breakfast and lunch (courtesy of L.A. Gourmet Catering, whose owners are CCFBF alums!), and plenty of coffee. You just need to bring your own laptop and a good dose of enthusiasm.

Please email us at gro.oducehtnull@ofni if you’d like to participate, and let us know your area of expertise.

Help us make a mark!

* So what exactly is a charrette? It is a rigorous and collaborative process in which a varied group of professionals work together with a rigid deadline. Or, if you prefer, a cram session. Whatever you call it, this efficient use of both our clients’ and our volunteers’ time allows us to accomplish in one day what would normally take weeks or even months. The workday is a highly productive synthesis of group and individual efforts. Brand concepts and high-level ideas are discussed by the entire group in a brainstorming session and, once finalized, are handed over to smaller groups and applied to the individual projects. Clients approve their projects that very day, and just a few short days later, the pieces return from the printer. Inside a week, clients receive the tools they need to ensure their messages are seen and heard.
