The numbers from Boneyard are in!

We raised over $800 for CUDO events and programming from our recent Cupcakes & Cocktails show at Cakes on Walnut. Thanks to everyone who contributed work and supported our efforts. Because we are ever so appreciative, CUDO is throwing a thank-you party next Tuesday at Jupiter’s at the Crossing. Join us for an evening of (free!) pizza, half-off drinks,* half-off billiards, and good ol’ designer fun. Rsvp on our events page or facebook page.

*Hi guys, I’d like to apologize for my (unintentional) false advertising for half-off drinks. I misunderstood what the evening special was when we were making arrangements with Jupiter’s. However, pizza and great designer companionship are still free, so I hope to see you at the event! – Maya

About a week ago we received an email from director Justine Nagan of Kartemquin Films. Justine, who recently directed the documentary ‘Typeface‘ has kindly agreed to screen the movie here in the fall. The film focuses on a rural Midwestern museum and print shop where international artists meet retired craftsmen and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional technique. Our friend Chad Kouri, of Chicago design collective The Post Family, was featured in the film and will be coming down to speak at the screening as well. How cool!
