CUDO is 100% run by volunteers who have a day job or are still in school. It’s because of the hard work and talent of people like you that we can provide our members and the local design community with resources, events, and workshops. Please consider how you can get involved. We’ve listed some specific positions we’d like to fill below, but we’d love to hear any way you can get involved

Membership and Social Committee

Are you a party planner? Do you enjoy meeting new people? The Membership and Social Committee is looking for volunteers. This committee is CUDO’s primary outreach branch. Responsibilities include member recruitment and organizing social events for CUDO members.

Approx. Commitment: 3 hours/month

Fundraising and Donations Committee

As an organization that isn’t looking to make a profit, CUDO needs a creative team of people who can find funds and donations. This could mean anything, from finding paper donations for our Project: Non-Profit Makeover event to raising money to bring a big-name speaker to Champaign-Urbana. We are looking for a chairperson and a few members for this committee.

Approx. Commitment: 5 hours/month (Chairperson) or 3 hours/month (Member)

Volunteer Committee

The Volunteer Committee advertises opportunities for CUDO members and others to serve on CUDO committees or to help with CUDO events or activities. For example, when we need an event poster plastered all over town, the Volunteer Committee will organize a small team to help out. They will also try to recruit volunteers for future opportunities. We are looking for a chairperson and a few members for this committee.

General Volunteers

If you’re unable to commit to a volunteer position but are still interested in lending a hand whenever you can, no sweat! We always need people who can spare an hour here or there to put up posters around town or help set up/tear down events. If you are interested, join our volunteer mailing list below and we’ll let you know when opportunities come up to help out.
