- Linotype: The Film Coming to Parkland Theater
CUDO is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Champaign-Urbana premiere of Linotype: The Film, a brand new documentary centered around the amazing Linotype type casting machine.
Called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by Thomas Edison, the Linotype revolutionized printing and society. The film tells the surprisingly emotional story of the people connected to the Linotype and how it impacted the world. Director Doug Wilson will introduce the film and join a panel discussion immediately following the film. This benefit screening will take place at Parkland Theatre on Thursday, April 12 at 8:00 PM and the suggested donation is $7 at the door.
