Entry Rules
CUDO wants to showcase our members' best design work from recent years. We are looking for recent projects created or launched by individuals, teams, or firms of our members and friends. All submissions will be exhibited at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center in November 2022 and will be published on our website. In order to participate, you must be a designer, student, or recent graduate in the Champaign-Urbana area and your submission(s) must be received by Monday, October 31, 2022.
Exhibition Dates: November 4th-18th
Opening Reception: Friday, November 4, 2022
Closing Reception: Friday, November 18, 2022

Who can enter
Entries may be submitted by any designer, student, or recent graduate. The work submitted does not necessarily have to have been placed, published, or printed in Champaign-Urbana; however, the individual or company who handled the creative concept, design, development, or production must be based in the Champaign-Urbana area.

What can be entered
Professional work in the following categories: advertising, promotion, branding, photography, illustration, typography, print (posters, displays, packaging, brochures, publications, etc.), digital media (websites, e-books, videos, TV spots, banner ads, animation, apps, etc.) and industrial design. Unpublished concept work created for presentation is allowed (but must be indicated on the entry form). Student work is also allowed as long as it has been approved by their instructor (as indicated on the entry form).

Qualifications
Eligible entries must have been produced in the past three years. All entries must not have been exhibited in a previous CUDO PRO SHOW. All entries must be professionally designed, be presented professionally, and not be offensive to the general public. CUDO will make every effort to exhibit all the entries based on space available, but the PRO SHOW Steering Committee will screen all entries to determine their eligibility for exhibition. If your entry is disqualified, we will refund your entry fee.

Preparing entries
All ads, posters, and one-page print materials must be flush-mounted onto ⅛" black or white foam board. Please write or affix your entry number on the back of your piece. Laser or inkjet prints of ads are preferable to tear sheets. Multi-page documents and publications may be submitted in protective envelopes. Three-dimensional objects (packaging, t-shirts) may be submitted. Oversized pieces (signs, displays) may be submitted as mounted photographs. Digital media entries (web, animation, apps, etc.) should be submitted as a URL on the entry form (web server, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc). All media entries must be submitted with screenshots/keyframes flush-mounted on ⅛" black or white foam board.

Mounting workshops
We will be also be putting on two free mounting workshops at Surface 51 in Champaign. If you would like to be involved with either workshop please indicate your preferred date on the entry form:
October 22, 2022 from 1-3pm
October 29, 2022 from 1-3pm
For the workshops, pieces will need to be formatted as 11x17 portrait or landscape at 300dpi and emailed to proshow@thecudo.org to print beforehand. Each workshop participant will be provided two copies of their entry (in case of mounting mistakes).

Web gallery
All entries will be archived on the CUDO website as a digital gallery. For this reason, you will be asked to send us a web-quality JPEG of your entry after you submit the entry form. The JPEG should be at least 1080px wide (height does not matter). One JPEG per entry, please (you may composite multiple images into one JPEG if needed). Please optimize your JPEG so that the file size is no larger than 500K.

Entry forms
All submissions include an online entry form survey that must be completed. Please print at least two copies of each completed form: affix one copy to each entry (or each piece in a series or campaign); the second copy is for your records.

Cost
All Patreon supporters, students, and recent graduates may enter one piece free of charge. Additional entries are $25 each. Individuals may submit up to three entries. Studios, firms, organizations may submit up to five entries.

Payment
If submitting more than one entry (or if you are not a Patreon supporter, student, or recent graduate), your payment must accompany your entries. Please choose your purchasing option via the call for entries page or in the CUDO store. Because each purchase contains only one entry form, please limit your cart to one entry per purchase.
